At the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the book “Khorezm Urfiy Maqomlari” was published under the guidance of the founders of the Uzbek National Center for Maqom Art, with the participation of researchers from the Urgench State University and the Khorezm Mamun Academy, the Khorezm Maqom Ensemble and the Specialized School of Music.
The book was published in Uzbek and English. Raufjon Makhmudov, head of the department of social and humanitarian sciences of the Khorezm Mamun Academy, candidate of philological sciences, also took part in the preparation and publication of this book. R. Makhmudov was awarded a letter of thanks from the Uzbek National Maqom Art Center for his active participation in the publication of the book.
