On February 18-22, 2018, a scientific conference titled "Matnazar Abdulhakim, the great representative of contemporary Uzbek literature", dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the well-known poet, translator, literary critic, honored worker of culture of Uzbekistan Matnazar Abdulhakim and the poet's creativity was organized.

At the anniversary and scientific conferences, representatives of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan Ikrom Otamurod, Nodir Jonuzak, Davron Rajab, the research assistant of the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Suvon Meliev and Rakhmutulla Nosirov, professors of Tashkent State Language and Literature University named after Alisher Navoi, , teachers of philological sciences Bahodir Karimov and Uzak Jurakulov.

The conference was held on February 20, at 10.00 in the Spirituality Center of Khorezm regional khokimiyat. Conference was moderated by Chairman of Khorezm Ma'mun Academy - Dr. I. Abdullaev took it. At the conference, the participants delivered speeches on  "Matnazar Abdulhakim - the singer of the coast", "The role of Matnazar Abdukhakim in modern Uzbek poetry", "Artistic, stylistic dyeing and instruments in the poetry of Matnazar Abdulhakim", "Matnazar Abdulhakim - the scientist of Khorezm", "Matnazar Abdulhakim - The lecture on the specific aspects of Matnazar Abdulhakim Pahlavon Mahmud's researcher and other textbooks was presented at the conference.
