Archaeologists of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Sciences of the Khorezm Mamun Academy are excavating the archaeological site of Kat-Kala in the Shovot region. The research expedition will last 40 days from June 1. For reference: Katkala (Shovot) - located in the Beruni mahalla, in the Shovot region, in the village of Kat, an unplanned right angle, the total area of ​​10.8 hectares, in ancient times it was surrounded by two rows of walls, which in turn were reinforced with semicircular canopies, the interval of which is 27 m. The monument was built in the IV century BC.
